Headers collect and distribute steam or water from or to a series of smaller pipes or conduits. They are made of carbon or ferritic steel, generally of the same grade as the piping systems. Unlike piping systems which are usually butt welded and bent, headers are straight.
The pressures and temperatures that headers have to withstand depend on the component to which they are connected. A header connected to an economizer or to water wall panels is subject to less severe requirements on the material than a header connected to superheaters or reheaters.
Depending on the temperature and pressure of headers, we supply tubes in carbon steel to high-alloy ferritic steels such as T/P91 or T/P92, with sizes ranging from 88.9 mm to 406.4 mm.
Application
The steam boiler pressure part header with large diameter longitudinal welded pipe have water wall header, superheater header, economizer header and so on. It acts as collection, mixture, re-distributing working medium. As the structure, it can be classified as the end cover type (end enclosure) and necking down type.
